that's amazing! now if i may ask; do you mind if i take the animated image of the fire itself and use it as a place-holding piece in a game I am programming myself. I happen to need real fire animation and that looks better than anything else I've ever seen! I'll even give credit where credit is due!

I'm curious as to why you do the transfer under handed; does that keep the fuel from evaporating on the way over, or is that just an easier position for the hand to be in?

It can be done either way, but over-handed is a little bit easier.. Probably evaporation related, or it could simply have to do with the wind. In colder weather, the fuel doesn't even go out on it's own. I found that out when I did a fire transfer one night, and then gripped the staff to find my hand was still on fire.
